My Summer with FJY
I participated in several outreach activities in the Visayas in 2008 and 2009. I helped conduct leadership training and gave lectures about self- awareness and mostly values. My audiences in both of these activities were mostly 16 to 20 year olds. As I narrated my experiences to my two cousins, Helen and Bamba, an idea took shape: Let us do a similar activity here in our community!
Thanksgiving celebration, May 31th, 2009
In a special occasion when a First Filipino Salvatorian priest ordained last May 9th, 2009 at St. Mary Magdalene parish church, a reason to celebrate in thanksgiving to the Lord is of great importance. Christmas Party - FJY Idol 2009
Christmas is the time for giving gift, sharing love to one another and remembering the time our Savior was born here on earth, that’s why we celebrating Christmas day. It is a tradition to have Christmas party, so “FJY” celebrated our first Christmas party last December 20 in the afternoon in Salvatorian community. All of us really enjoyed it, there were a lot of activities, games and presentations.
It was like a dream to become a member of “FJY,” we are always cheerful and helpful for the people in the community by participating in many activities of the Church. Almost one year ago, when the Salvatorians headed by Fr. Hubert Kranz, launched “FJY” I volunteered to join. I remember during the orientation, we prayed and somebody talked about the life and works of Fr. Jordan and through this I was given a better perspective as regards God and the Church.
